Recommended
- During winter, the essential fatty acids, omegas 3 and 6, are depleted in winter grazing and hay, so horses not on fresh grass will have a dietary deficiency of omega-3. We recommend adding micronised Linseed to support this deficiency. Feed rates detailed on our Linseed product page.
- For young horses over the age of 2, Salt
always needs to be fed. As per the NRC (2007) guidelines, a 500kg horse has a daily requirement of at least 10g sodium and 40g chloride on a cool day doing no work, and at least double this on a hot day/in hard work/sweating.
