Hi, Carol here, founder of EquiNatural - let me introduce you to our management team.
It all began for me in 2006 when our horses' health crisis drove me to uncover the impact of modern feeding practices on equine well-being.
What started as a desperate mission to save our horses has evolved into nearly two decades of research into functional medicine and nutrition, qualifying as a Medical Herbalist in 2016.
Cut to today, and having handed over the management of our wonderful company to Richard, my husband, and supported by our dedicated team who truly have the same ethos as me, I now dedicate my time to researching the latest equine science to help our clients restore and maintain their horses’ health naturally.
Oh, and posting a blog or two as well!
Rich and I met in 2001, never having been near a horse in his life! Within weeks, he was in Murf's saddle with a borrowed riding hat, and it wasn’t long before Millie, his first loan cob, was followed by NF Bromley, who repeatedly taught Rich what fun it was like to be bucked off. Not!
Finally, the beautiful Blas, a Polish TB eventer with Mach-4 speed, helped Rich embrace the joys of horse-world, alongside me and Tabatha, his daughter (and my amazing step-daughter), galloping together every weekend across Salisbury Plain!
Having since hung up his reins, Rich now shares a deep bond with Carmen, his beautiful 18yo unridden TB mare who adores him.
A qualified accountant for 40-years, I managed to poach him from Langford Vets during Covid. Rich ensures the business runs smoothly while freeing me to focus on EquiNatural's clients and equine research.
Kim is our Customer Support Manager, so if you've called or emailed us you've likely spoken with her. She's also a 2nd-year equine podiatry student at Areion Academy, training to become a barefoot hoof trimmer, which makes her our resident hoof expert!
Riding since she was 7, Kim's the proud owner of Midnight, a stunning 6yo Welsh Cob she’s owned from a 2yo. Partners in crime, they love nothing more than exploring the beautiful Mendip Hills.
When she’s not buried in her barefoot training or handling the EquiNatural client enquiries, Kim's out walking her two lively dogs, Milo and Benji.
As with most of us Kim was a pony-mad kid. With a lifelong love of horses and an unwavering passion for their wellbeing, Kim fits right in with EquiNatural’s ethos and core values.
Harriet's been pony mad for as long as she can remember.
As a child, she’ started by following local horse owners to ask if she could ride their horse! Eventually she began helping at the local riding school, quickly gaining a reputation for being fearless and able to sit on anything.
Her first loan pony, Oliver, taught her plenty with his penchant for bolting, followed by 12.2 Welsh Sec.A Fizz, who was Fizz by name and Fizz by nature!
But then came Lady, a 7yo ISH, who became her lifelong partner, competing in show-jumping and cross-country, and still very much Harriet's best friend with a wonderful partnership to this day.
When Harriet isn’t busy keeping our production running smoothly, her two adorable young boys keep her company every day on the family farm with the horses.
