At EquiNatural, our journey is rooted in a deeply personal mission. If you're feeling the way we did nearly 20 years ago - watching our horses get sicker while nothing seemed to work - you’re not alone.

We know how isolating and frustrating this can feel. You're at your wits' end, your insurance is maxed out, and your vet’s out of ideas. That frustration was the start of a life-changing journey for us, leading to the creation of EquiNatural and our mission to make a real difference.

I’m Carol, EquiNatural’s founder. Back in 2006 I had no idea what was going on as I watched my horses metabolically crash in front of me. Neither did our vet, so I had to figure it out myself. I hit the World Wide Web and researched everything I could find on equine health, immersing myself in every nutrition model out there.

Slowly but surely, the changes I implemented began to take effect. Our horses started to regain their energy, and they transformed back into the vibrant, healthy companions we once knew. It was nothing short of life-changing.

Through my studies, what I learned was profound: whether horse or human, our bodies have a remarkable inbuilt-intelligence and ability to heal - but only if we remove the obstacles in their way. Overwhelmed by toxins, the body's immunity and detox system - the liver, kidneys, and lymphatics - become overburdened, and the body's cells become damaged, leading to chronic, systemic inflammation and disrupted metabolic balance.

And so begins ‘dis-ease’, meaning that the body is 'ill at ease', making getting better that much harder.

We have a problem though. Firstly, there's very little research on equine health. Second, our horse-world is filled with misinformation and hype, so it’s easy for us not to connect the dots. But once we do, changing our approach becomes very straightforward - we just need to know what steps to take. By understanding and addressing our horses' innate physiological needs, we can truly help them return to health and vitality.

Over the years, we’ve been privileged to support countless horses and their owners across the UK, building lasting connections and celebrating incredible transformations. From bleak prognoses to metabolic recoveries, each success story fuels our mission to make a real difference.
