If you're feeling the way I did nearly 20 years ago - watching your horses get sicker while nothing seems to work - you're not alone.

It's a lonely and frustrating place to be. You're likely at your wits' end, your insurance is maxed out, your vet's out of ideas, and you feel like you're in last-chance-corrall. And despite heroic efforts on your part, nothing's working.

I'm Carol, EquiNatural's founder. Like you, I had no idea what was going on back in 2006 as I watched my horses metabolically crash in front of me. Neither did our vet, so I had to figure it out myself. I hit the World Wide Web and researched everything I could find on equine health, immersing myself in every nutrition model out there.

And so the studying began, and what I learned was profound: whether horse or human, we have an in-built intelligence within our bodies designed to fight anything it regards as foreign. However, when overwhelmed with toxicity, the body's cells become damaged, leading to chronic, systemic inflammation. This means the army of immune cells and the body's natural inbuilt detoxification system - the liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system - will struggle to function optimally and keep the body functioning optimally.

And so begins dis-ease, meaning that the body is 'ill at ease', making getting better that much harder.

In a horse-world filled with misinformation and hype, it’s easy for us not to connect the dots. But once we do, changing our approach becomes very straightforward - we just need to know what steps to take. By understanding and addressing our horses'  innate physiological needs, we can truly help them return to health and vitality.
