A message from Carol, EquiNatural's Founder

As we say on our 'About Us' page, if you're feeling helpless as your horse gets sicker despite everything, you're not alone.

It’s a frustrating, lonely place to be – maxed-out insurance, no new answers from your vet, and nothing working despite your best efforts.

I'm Carol, founder of EquiNatural. Back in 2006, I faced the same struggles, watching my horses’ health decline. I started studying, learning everything I could about equine health, making mistakes along the way then studying more till I got it right.

Eventually, I qualified as a Medical Herbalist to give my work credibility, but I never wanted to pose as an 'expert' saying, "Here’s the best way to do things because I say so.” Instead I wanted to share the mistakes and knowledge I'd learned along the way. And because it's literally become my life's mission to update the website with the latest equine research and updates, to help other horse owners and carers in the same boat as I was nearly 20-years ago, this is why I readily share all the information for free.

This website is the resource I wish I’d had back then - if only I knew then what I know now! If it helps even one horse regain their health, then every second will have been worth it.
