Excess Iron can be detrimental to horses health as it cannot be excreted from the body, and has an impact of absorption of other minerals. Iron deficiency is extremely rare and sufficient iron is generally obtained through forage.

Ethical sourcing is a vital consideration in all our formulations. Since EquiNatural began (2007) it was a conscious decision for the company to only use organically grown ingredients - grown without the use of agro-chemicals and non-irradiated - which when sourced from overseas give back to the local communities with a fair trade and wages.
The horse's gut biome naturally produces their vitamin-A requirements from the beta-carotene (the precursor to Vitamin A) present in grass forage, in the required ratios they need.
However, during winter when the grass nutrient levels are reduced, it's important to add extra grass forage feeds to the feedbowl.
Ensure you feed a quality meadow grass nut or pellet - Thunderbrook's Meadow Nuts are a good choice. However, if your horse has higher energy requirements, Simple Systems Red Bag Grass Pellets is a good higher-protein option as it's produced from higher nutrient spring grass.
