SWEET ITCH - "I came across your company whilst reading various online threads about seasonal itching in horses. I bought my pony (12 next month) this time last year. By May 2018 he was rubbing his mane & tail. His previous owner is a vet and said he hadn’t rubbed abnormally with her."
My whole Equinatural world began in 2006/7 with our elderly Kelso, who's middle name was 'Allergy', and sweet itch was just one of his issues so I have a very worn T-shirt in that department :-)
These days I have Mac, who I adopted two years ago after seeing him with suppurating sweet itch sores the size of dinner plates, in the field next to mine when we moved yards. I took him on (much to the yard owner's relief as he'd been abandoned by a previous livery), so I now have one foot very firmly back in the sweet itch camp. He's done brilliantly since then - we were fire-fighting in 2017 as he was already badly affected, but since then he's breezed it.
I originally made what is now our SkinTonic blend for Kelso's sweet itch back in the day, and within 3-months he was growing a mane and tail - in biting season - for the first time in his 17-years. Mac went on it the minute I met him (I've done a Case Study on him if you want a read: https://equinatural.co.uk/i/macattack).
For any sweet itch enquiry I recommend our SkinTonic as a regular part of the sweet itch armoury. There's more info on our Coat & Skin page in the Herbal Nutrition section: https://equinatural.co.uk/i/coat-and-skin
